Most people would agree I do not have a lazy bone in my body but since facebook appears to be the source of my posts these days I have neglected the forum. Anyway this summer I have used the hot muggy weather to prove my theory that summer training is the most effective. Have managewd to cut seven kilos and feel fitter than ever but you will hate the methods. Essentially I have been mixing kcikboxing training and material from strength and conditioning class but have done so with doors and windows closed and wearing headguard and gumshield to increase my body temperature and respiration humidity. It is bloody uncomfortable but very effective. Try it

Update: SO to sum up summer training so far I believe it has been my most successful to date. Thank god no injuries therefore I was able to maintain and increase intensity. I recently cut back a little on cardio and increased weights work and increased abdominal exercise so we will see where that takes me. Bring it on

Declan - what training are you doing at the moment? I always read your training blog and think "If that aul lad can do it so can I!!!!!" Anyway if I get my tips for the Green belt you'll get the chance to bate the head off me AGAIN next Saturday!!!! Myself and Cathal did the 3 rounds last night, 1 with Izer, 1 with CAthal and 1 with Rooney, it was hard enough going after 2 hours of training. Looking forward now to next weekend, I can picture it already, you with your hands down egging me on and picking off shots at will!!!
