Myself and Louise are over to Newcastle this weekend to support Ian The Machine Freeman. He was supposed to be having his first pro boxing fight for charity but i read today that his opponent isn't allowed fight. Apparently the catholic school he works for are against it! Anyway, we'll be supporting Ian's daughter Kennedy and all the other machine mma fighters. We'll be the official MAI reporters for the event. Should be a good weekend and we'll keep you posted. Ian is very excited about his upcoming fight with Ken ShAmrock plus you never know, he may come up with an idea for me too

Glad we went over to the event on Saturday. As always it's a great show. There must of been at least 15 bouts on between boxing and k1. It all started off with the 6 yr old doing a demo kickboxing bout. Remember these kids were only 6. They showed very impressive skills and didn't mind the crowds, they all came out to their own music, it was brill. There was never once a sign of throwing in the towel or stopping these young guns. To be honest they shocked me as to how fearless and couragious they were. I watched them warming up and honestly they would leave some of the adults sitting. It then went up age catagories and the older kids were just the same as the younger ones. No bother to them. They loved it and when they all finished they all played together like they were the best of friends . Onto the junior women boxing bout which was Ian's daughter Kennedy. She is one tough cookie. She is only 16 and she hits like a man. She destroyed her opponent and it was a bloody bout. After I took a picture of her gloves and she wore white ones so you can imagine the state they were in after that hahaha. Ian junior fought on the card and destroyed his opponent. Great match. All the bouts were excellent and I got to meet Peter Irving who is in Fighters Only mag every month and an MMA fighter. Glad I went over. Ian is now in full training for his next fight against Ken Shamrock on July 27th. He didn't fight on Sat as his opponent was forced to pull out due to him being a Catholic school teacher. All in all it was a great weekend. Roll on the next one. Oh yeah I got to see Dan from Geordie Shore too lol.

Thanks for that Louise. It was great to have been involved at the event. I knew I wasn't going to simply get away with being spectator. The fights were great and it was very cool to see the kids and the adults do their thing. The highlight for me was watching the UFC with Ian. It's always very cool to get a UFC fighters perspective on the fights and Ian doesn't hold back ha ha ha
