I've just this second booked my next training trip. This time I'm off to Nottingham to train with Tom Watson and Paul Daley. I'll be gone for a couple of weeks. I don't know what exactly or where I'll be training and I don't think I want to know because I do know that it will be tough. I still have another week and a half of training to put in here at home before I go.

Sounds like another great opportunity to train with well known fighters all the best with it-Don't know if you remember the old Robin of Sherwood tv series but you might get some ideas on druids there too

A quick hello. Using internet on phone. Did wrestling practice with paul daley's olympic wrestling coach kenny from l.a. Later, Tom watson, scott jansen, paul daley and I did conditioning with paul's s & c coach sonny. We all went for food after in nandos. Wish we had one of those in dublin. 7am pad work tomorrow!

Just goes to show how often I get out! Good sparring yesterday. I recognised a few of the other fighters from the uk v's us series of tuf. Dan hardy was there too but wasn't training. Wrestling yesterday evening and we all went for food again. Today was a private Muay thai session on the pads and a bjj class with world bjj champion michael langhi. Not bad start to the week!

Doesn't look like I'm fighting in the BAMMA show in December but I've been 100% guaranteed to be on the February show. Bit of a dissappointment because I was all geared up for December. At least I now know for sure instead of being strung along. It will give me more time to train and it will also give me a nice Christmas break too so I'm not that upset. Between now and then, I wonder how many times I'm going to be asked 'when ya fightin' next?' Oh yeah, got a round of sparring in with Paul Daly today - he's very strong in the clinch. Very good clinch and takedown defence. Dean Amasinger, Andre Winner and Nick Osipack (that's defo not spelled correctly) were all there too. I was very much impressed with Jimmy Wallhead. Solid fella. www.judojimmy.com

Hi Rob
Sorry to hear re BAMMA but all that great training will not be wasted. Really interested to hear you got to train with Jimmy Wallhead. Don't know if you have read Fighting Fit mag. pretty good but Ollie Richardson who is the Leicester rugger strength coach also works with him and Dan Hardy and has a column in it which is quite good. Did you you come across him at all in your travels?
Best wishes Phillip

3 training sessions on Monday. 7am Muay Thai pad training to wake me up! Later on we had a tough conditioning session with Paul Daley's conditioning coach - Sonny Dholakia. very nice guy and very friendly even though he's a torturer. In the evening myself and Scott Jansen went to the gym and thought it would be cool to try out a new gel that makes you sweat like crazy. Well, it worked! We did some running, circuits, weights and then totally burned up in the Sauna and Steam room.
Yesterday we went for a morning run and back to the gym in the evening. Tom Watson has a boxing match in a couple of weeks so he went back to London and Paul Daley is about to head to Holland for training. I was going to go too but as I probably won't be fighting until February, I came home instead as there's stuff I could be doing here. So, I'll be at the MAI club MMA Comp this Sunday. Looking forward to that.
I arrived home early this morning and I'm now on my way to D7 for the mma class. See you there.
