For years I have always been jealous of the guy's going off to teach in Boy's schools. So finally this year I got a contract to teach in St. Josephs Girl's Secondary School. I had my first session today with 19 students and they were a lovely bunch of girl's. We covered the most basic punches and kicks. I was very surprised that I didn't have to correct anyone. I'm looking forward to doing more as I really enjoyed being back to school. Also it's been 17 year's since I stepped foot into a school and going in as a teacher felt kool.

Teaching in schools can be both challenging and rewarding. This year I find my groups more willing and better behaved that of late. Perhaps that is the flip side of the recession, kids are starting to appreciate what they get. Let the good parts remain and the bad part improve.

The school is going really well and we covered lots of knees and elbows on this weeks session and I couldn't believe how much the girls actually loved it. They want to know about MMA now. I think it's great and wish my school would have put on a course for us like this. Also Keith is away and I'm covering a new youth group here in D15, really nice bunch of lads and I really enjoyed teaching them on Monday
