Lots of padwork including my new 13 move combo lol demanding when all pieced together it goes as follows defensive front kick, jab, cross, bob right, cross, four side steps,back leg roundhouse kick, leg and arm block spinning crescent kick, front leg axe kick repeated immediately but with the footwork to the opposite direction each time....exhausting lol

oh I forgot to tell you all that Buddy never got to fight because his opponent broke his ankle during the pre-fight warm up! How the hell did he manage that! Buddy was just about to be called to fight and then he was told. All that effort and training and it didn't go ahead. This is my third week here and it's mid week already. Monday & Tuesday are always tough days. I got to do a round of sparring with UFC middleweight Kyle Noke yesterday for the first time. I've gotten in some good sparring, wrestling and grappling. Wednesday isn't as bad because we just do 2 training sessions - it's just as well because Thursday and Fridays are tough too. I'm simply putting in the training sessions at this stage and getting the work done. Next week will be my last week here and by the time that comes around I'll be glad to be coming home. I hope all is well at the clubs and I've been kept informed so I know who has been training and who hasn't Get your butt into gear and I'll see you all soon.

Must be frustrating beyond words to have your fight cancelled at the last minute like that, for both of them!

2 cool things happened today so I thought I'd keep all my minions (all 3 of you!) posted:
I did a round of sparring with Jon Jones today and even though I'm not really supposed to speak out of sparring, I did do well. Now don't get me wrong - I still got bashed but at the same time I surprised him. To use his words 'You were out pointing me so I had turn it into more of a brawl. It opened my eyes'. He was impressed with the kicks and techniques I used. There you go - there's no better validation than that. My main objective was to gain his respect and to give him a good spar. This was my second time sparring him and I do think I achieved that. As I said, I did of course also receive my fair share of digs including heavy body shots and he's probably the best person I've ever wrestled.
The second cool thing that happened today is that myself and Tom had a private class with Greg Jackson. I've done group classes with him before but this was the first private. He is such a cool guy and I really like his approach. It's so different from the stereotypical mma vibe. We simply asked him questions and he gave us some cool techniques which we drilled on each other.
That's the update for the moment. I could bore you about all the training etc. but that's it for now.

Thats lethal man, really enjoying the updates your putting up, its so interesting to see what your doing and only whooper to read! Good with the last week and a bit, everyone down in D7 are missing you haha

5 training sessions completed today. We've been working on our stretching everyday too - here's Tom giving me a hand. For some reason Ricci (Jacksons mma gym manager) thought it was funny so he took this pic and posted on twitter - but I know youse are brutal at twitter so I stuck it here. I haven't taken any other pics - it's too hard to train and be a photographer at the same time. Oh yeah, there's funny banter between me, Tom and Ozzy fighter Kyle Noke and I don't think the yanks know what we're going on about half the time ha ha Attachments:

Ha, the pic looks a bit like one of the 1st Brown Belt techniques gone horribly wrong. Looking forward to having you back, we had loads down for the classes tonight, real summer's day stuff here in Dublin today so hopefully it'll be nice weather to welcome you back, looking forward to it.
