Im in . I think this is a great opertunity for anyone thinking of entering their first competition. Best of the best a couple of weeks ago was my first comp, and i have to say it gave me a big confidence boost and a different outlook to the way i want to train. Make that first jump, and you'll want to do it again and again.

Best of luck to everyone competing this Sunday. Even if you're not competing, don't forget to come on down and show your support - you never know, you could be competing at the next one. The trophies are ready and I'm really looking forward to the day. I'm especially looking forward to the submission grappling section which should be a bit of fun. See you here.

I forgot to say: Anyone looking for a lift from D.7 to D.15 make sure you are at MAI D.7 before 12. There will be a few people meeting up there and there will be plenty of room for passengers. They will leave at 12 so make sure you are not late.

And don't forget, there's no group classes on Sunday in D7 because of it! If you were planning to do a class, why not go down to the D15 studio instead? It's a great chance to see some high standard kickboxing for all levels.

Good afternoon everyone , What a day yesterday , everything went smoothly and of course everyone did well yet again , as James said on his post "there is alot of organization involved" and that is quite true , to make everything go smoothly we plan these events early in the year . Plus the hard job is to motivate everyone to just jump in and do it . At the end of the day a club competition is a great way for us all to get together and enjoy a day as a whole club . Lots of clubs wouldn't bother putting on competitions for members , and we care here in MAI to give our members the opportunity to gain valuable experience to compete at other competitions . I just want to say thank you to everyone who not only competed , but who came down and supported the event . We have alot of new members that are new to sparring and they jumped in and gave it a bash , and a big fair play to you all , some people were injured and gave it a go too . So a huge pat on the back and a very well done to you all . It was a great day , well done everyone again , and those who missed it , you did miss a whopper of a day . Have a super day everyone . Back to work now .........

Thanks to Robert et al for organising yesterday. Well done to everyone that took part especially those jumping in for the first time its never easy! Congrats to all the winners on the day and the overall grand champions for setting the bar for the rest of us to aspire to. Don't know about the rest of you but I am still knackered - its always worth it though.

Hey, Just want to say thanks to Rob and all the instructors who put on a great competition. It was extremely well organised. Ive never been at a competition that flowed so well. It was extremely well organised and really catered well for both competitor and spectator. Hence we were not there all day!!!
Have to say, I felt the standard was very high especially in my section, the mens coloured belts. It was really tough and Im feeling it today.
Fair play to the lads in the brown/black section who came on after us and competed after working all morning/day and showed us a serious level to aspire to!! I for one was very impressed!!!
Big shout out to keith, a serious instructor who did class in all three disciplines. Thanks for all the help, ill see in november.

Well done to Rob and everyone involved in the planning and on the day admin for Sunday's event. I was very impressed with the standard and commitment shown by all those who took the big step of actually getting in the ring. An inspiration to us all !!
