Ok here goes. Robert, Louise, Kiefer, Colm and Keith. I will always be indebted to you guys for your help and support this week. Robert especially as you helped cure that problem I had with a pointy nose haha. Nah seriously I have suffered a lot of pain during this but reached amazing heights of energy and determination. A great experience to be sure. So on to tomorrow only 1944 punches 1944 kicks and a 44 mintue run to go. Kawabungaaaa

Declan completed the final day (today) with flying colours. What was very hard about this grade was the accumulative latic acid build up and muscle stiffness resulting from 6 consecutive hard training days. Although, Declan never let it show! Declan is in a class of his own. Check out any of the 4th Dan grades on 'Youtube' to compare and you will clearly see that Declan is leagues ahead of the rest. It was an honour to train with him and to be a part of this historic grading. The final day pictures are here: martialartsinc.com/testdir/dk4th.phpI am really looking forward to awarding Declan his much deserved 4th Dan Black Belt and Certificate. Congratulations Declan on such a great grade. We'll be talking about it for a long time and I hope it serves as motivation to all the 'up and comers'. See you tomorrow at the M.A.I. Christmas Olympics.

Ok here goes. This has been a long and tiring journey for sure. This grading has been amongst the toughest challenges I have ever undertaken but as the saying goes everything is easier when you got friends. Robert, Louise, Kiefer, Colm, Keith thank you for being there to help and encourage me. Sinead and everybody else who offered there help and support thank you all. I suppose it would be wise to take a break now but I don't know how so I will be back in the dojo tomorrow evening teaching but please forgive me if I don't do so with my usual energy. To everybody who took part and supported with your presence the MAI Christmas Olympics well done. It is surely the most noble of causes. So a hectic and enjoyable end to 2008 at MAI setting the foundations for an even more sucessful year in 2009. It is indeed an honour to be a part of it. Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year to youl all. Sensei Declan Kidd (4th Dan) mmm sounds good lol
