Well done every one today who competed, there was a real team attitude today which in my opinion was its best yet, every one supporting each other so it was great to see.
Thanks of course to the instructors again, as it was not an easy day for some, and your time and effort is fantastic and thank you to all of them for a great years training, the club is growing and growing thanks to you all, see you all at the Olympics, get wrecking all family and friends heads for loads of money!!!!!!!!

It's great to see you started a thread like this James, it's appreciated.
You're right, there was a real unity to us yesterday, and it felt like everyone from our club was a valuable member of a team. We should keep this up, and grow as a team in all of our events. I honestly feel like MAI is a huge part of my life, as if we're all a big family, and I think the more we pull together as a team, the more we'll all feel this way.
I'd like to thank all the competitors and supporters for being there, and for helping out- even just standing in someone's corner cheering them on is a big thing. There were a lot of negatives and stressful things about yesterday, but the good thing is that none of these came from any of our members. So well done everyone.
Right, I'm gonna stop babbling before I take up all the space on the forum!
Well done again everyone, and I can't wait to see everyone together at the Christmas Olympics- Another chance to be a team and have loads of fun. And all for charity. See you all soon!

Yesterday was a really tough day for our instructors and despite many things going against us yesterday there were so many positives. It was a much quieter competition and we may not have 'won' as much as in September in terms of trophies but as a club it was great to see the way everyone pulled together and overcame all the negatives. Again a big shout out to all our instructors Keith, Louise, Colm and Kiefer who had many things to overcome just to get there-thanks for all your efforts and everyone was given a boost when you showed up and all lead by example. After my section I didn't get a chance to see everyone as I was helping ref but the bits I did catch were really good. Glen Lawlor was in one of the groups where I was assisting and he gave it a really good despite facing much bigger opposition. Eddie had a couple of good rounds and some nice scores. Well done to the three amigos John, Geoffry and Victor for their team victory-what made it better was the fact that they only decided to enter at the last minute. The mens seniors all fought really well James Cramer, Alan, Greg, Stephen, Rob etc as did Val in his section. Georgie/Jenny didn't get to see you fight but again well done. Sorry if I left anyone out.
As James said its been a great years training. Looking forward to the Olympics having a bit of fun and raising some money for a good cause.

Hey - well done everybody on saturday and everybody that came to show there support! there was a good team spirit and hopefully that will keep up for the next ones! i hope everybody enjoyed it and is going to get stuck in to 2009 and really give all the competitions there best shot!!
we are all lucky to have such a great team - and everybody from martial arts incorporated has so much talent weather its competitions / syllabus / sparring / teaching etc.. you can do whatever you want - make sure you don't waste it!! wasted talent is a shame!! - you see so many people with so much talent and they throw it away like they had nothing in the first place..
everybody down here has so much talent and it would be horrible to see it wasted on nothing!!.
"dont waste the greatness that you have today, because it could be gone tommorrow"
keep up the Great work everybody and i'll see you all soon - don't forget to collect your sponsership pack for the christmas olympics if you haven't got one already..
