This is your notice to get in gear and get ready for the belt grading in 3 weeks - I know you've already been getting ready but now is the time to ramp up your training and to let your instructor know that you intend to grade - they will help you to prepare. Get those pre-test belt tips over the next couple of weeks too.
The belt grading takes place at 3pm - D7 is the location.
See you all here and best wishes

Have a good crew going for this one in a couple of weeks. Keep the training going, keep the intensity in your training and gain that first goal of the year. Do yourself and your instructor proud! Roll on March 19th!

It should be belt tip time now so start getting them over the next 2 weeks to the belt grading. Remember, you can get one at a time. They don't have to be all at once.

This was a very busy grading given it was the first one of the year. Myself and Stephen Large put everyone through their paces as they punched kicked, stepped, blocked and dodged their way to their next belts. It was good to see so many going for yellow and orange belt and performing the moves so well inspite of the nerves. Quite a few went for Purple also and flew through it (kick set 3 pun intended lol). Laoise did great considering she was the only blue belt candidate. Of course special mention goes out to Cathal, Keith and the 2 Lauras who after a long technical grade had to undergo several rounds of sparring to cap it all off( tooth joke also intended Cathal ) Overall an intense but very rewarding day for all and a big well done to you.

Thanks Declan - the teeth are still intact...for now...Though it was a long day it certainly was worth the effort - huge thanks to Declan and Steven who ran a very smooth show and congratulations to all fellow graders especially Laura, Keith and Laura.
