Right, just to get the ball rolling - everybody seems to be attracted to Martial Arts training for different reasons and then stay for other reasons - so, what is your favourite type of training and why? Stick down your least fav too if you like......I bet press ups will get a vote!

Hey - too hard for me to decide but I bet you figured that out already. It depends on what I am training up for and if I do get a little bored of one I can switch the emphasis to another until I'm not bored anymore. Circuits are cool too. Interested in finding out what others think.

I love them all too, and would never stick to one thing for too long, but for me it always comes back to points. No matter what I'm conecentrating on, I look forward to doing some friendly points sparring after an event.

Hard one to call alright, but at the end of the day, you can't beat a good sparring session.

Wouldn't say I'm as fond of the burpees as keith, but I always enjoy trying to do something new (and hopefully crazy). Note: no more bladed nunchaku, that's too crazy

Ok here it goes. When we train as much as us guys do diversity is what keeps you hungry. When you are sick of bagwork you skip or stretch or practise armlocks or rolls etc. Many of our members have joined to get away from the boring gym routines such as treadmill etc. So mix it up guys and kawabunga

MMA training is the most fun for me. What's not to like; not as physically demanding a class as some others, lots to learn so you're not expected to know much, and lots of lying down. Perfect for a lazy guy like me!
The hardest training to me is the sparring since I'm only starting, I'm knackered after it but definitely feel it working, so that's the best, but not the most fun when you're just trying to survive like me!

Beginning sparring can be tough because of nerves, but the more you do, the easier it gets, then you can relax. All you need to remember in sparring is that we don't allow people to go too hard, exactly for that reason. We don't want people who haven't sparred before to see it and get discouraged. Also, you don't learn anlything by trying to knock people out every round.

Sparring is my catch 22... love and hate it. I hate it coz i get nervous, but after a few kicks to the stomach and punches to the head, I really really get into it. And once the nerves are gone, it's good fun, great work-out and I actually go home feeling great! Booooooo to Burpees!

Throwing something into the mix here maybe get a few people mad at me but hey I'm good at that. Anyway from my observation the type of training doesn't matter squat if you don't train often enough. Too many excuses around like oh my foot hurts or it's too d**n humid to train in the summer (crap) The old dojo motto says it all 'Every drop of sweat spilt in the dojo is one less drop of blood spilt in the ring'. In short get off your arses and train. (ps just winding ya all up

I think I like circuits..... (isn't that right Kiefer & Colm). My favorite part is when the circuit is finished. Fitness training is always good, especially for the slug, slowly but surely.
