Right, before I start, this isn't a rally for the KKK. There are no racist connotations or meanings. No matter what colour your skin is, you should be proud of who you are and of your heritage. It is very common for non-caucasions to voice their proudness but it's very unusual to hear a pale person do the same unless they are being racist. Anyone who has seen my weigh-in pics will see that I was the palest fighter there! How was that? Well, I reckon that a lot of fighters have a blast on the sunbeds before weigh ins. Why didn't I do that? 1) I am proud of who I am (pale white and all!) 2) Sun beds are really bad for you 3) I don't worry about my image when about to have a fight Sure I like to be tanned in the summer like everyone else but I'm quite happy being pale too. So, lads, be strong - sun beds are very bad for you and you really don't 'have' to use fake tan. Be proud of who you are no matter what skin colour you have. Attachments:

Fighters applying fake tan pre-weigh in etc?? Who'd have thunk it?! You'd want to be pretty sure of your skills for tanning to feature in your itinerary in your run up to a fight!! EDIT: Posted the above and then realised that I did so carrying an avatar of Maynard James Keenan, the greatest rock vocalist of all time ( ), who is a BJJ practitioner and is totally painted blue!! So in summary, blue is okay, tanned is not!
