Hi All, I witnessed yesterday the brutality of the fighting fitness course when Rob was training Kiefer. I had to admire Kiefer because after going to the toilet to disposit his lunch he came back out for more. It put what I thought was a tough weights session into stark reality. However the reason for my thread is I was knackered after the weights but Kiefer went on to teach classes and looked fresh. I don't think I would get a job teaching in MAI as I would have had to leave and go to bed! Anyway is overtraining a state of mind, can you get burned out? Seeing Kiefer yesterday and having trained with Rob and alot of the MAI team no one seems to get tired. Is it just me that blows a gasket to quickly? Any thoughts? Thanks Phillip

Hi Phil. You saw Keifer's sparrings session, but you probably didn't see how hard he trained in the program in the lead up to this. The fighting fitness program gets you fit enough to deal with that kind of work out, it doesn't just burn you out. You may have sympathy for Keifer, but he's well able for it anyway.

Just boasting now but ask Robert about the sessions he and I used to put in at The Fitness dock. 40 mins threadmill, 40 mins weights and up to 20 rounds of sparring and then ... back to work lol. Those were the days.

Hi Declan, and I thought I trained hard. Any room for me to join your Little Ninja Class although come to think of it that would probably too hard for me to. I am glad the old days are gone based on your description although with that sort of training maybe that's why Rob and you are so great Cheers Philip
