Agreed man I wouldn't hesitate a second, jail or no jail. I came close a few years ago, a guy tried to break in from the top of my kitchen extension, had a screwdriver tried to prize open my kids bedroom window....erm got some and I got lucky because the cops that came were shall we say sympathetic. lol

One of the most stupid laws i've ever heard of, anyone who steps foot or attempts to break into your house you should have the right to do what you want to defend yourself,if they are willing to cause damage then why can't you,i wouldn't care what the law is either and jail or no jail you gotta do what ya gotta do and your right it is about time!!!

Do what needs to be done and then throw the culprit into your neighbours garden.

Hola. Am in TOTAL AGREEMENT with all posts in this forum on the subject. Would FIGHT TO THE DEATH to protect my home and loved ones!!! Would like to think I live in a Country where, as soon as some Intruder invades my home - THEY'VE LOST ALL THEIR RIGHTS, as soon as they've stepped on MY PROPERTY with CRIMINAL INTENT!! Here's where it's gonna sting.... From the article above: The new legislation will give homeowners the right to defend themselves using up to, and including, lethal force and means homeowners can defend their property WITHIN REASON rather than retreat. Basically, a jury is going to deem if your actions (to defend your home and loved ones), were WITHIN REASON. Would take issue with any law - where I was prosecuted WORSE than the Intruder! The use of firearm ownership and usage, (to defend your home and loved ones), is also going to cause controversy. Q. Has anyone heard of the Yoshihiro Hattori incident??? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoshihiro_HattoriUnder Louisiana's 1976 " SHOOT THE BURGULAR" law - it allows a person to kill an intruder if he REASONABLY BELIEVES the intruder is trying to rob the house and might use violence against the occupants. Will leave it for you guys to think, if Rodney Peair's actions were WITHIN REASON. The debate goes on... Peace out: Darin

As the saying goes, 'I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6'.
