I'm always asked about my name 'The Executioner' and about 10 years ago Martial Arts Illustrated asked me about it during an interview:
The gist of what I told them: The Hitmen Squad nicknamed me The Executioner because I am always trying to execute the hard & flashy moves. Plus I like to decapitate my opponents (I got into trouble for that one!). Most of all I like the name The Executioner because most of my opponents can't spell it! (I got in double trouble for that one! ha ha)
You're not supposed to pick your own fighting name but if you had a choice what would you choose and why? Also, if you do have one already then let everyone know.
The Executioner

Haha this is a good thread, I dunno what name I would like to have, but one that comes to mind is something that would annoy your opponents,It would be something like Stuart " Your Face" Kirwan, It might get them thinking that ill hit their face or maybe Im insulting their looks ? Either way its cheesy. haha

I picked the name "Real Deal" as an internet handle in college and have used it ever since.I like the way it sounds with my name, RD then DR, as in "The Real Deal" Donal Ryan. It has a ring to it. It was only after the fact that I learned that Evander Holyfield used it, John Kerry used it in his Presidential Campaign, Pride named a PPV with is, and of course now Spar uses it Still, I've stuck with it, and would love to have myself announced under that name as I make an entrance to a fight.

The best I have ever heard has to be Ricky Hattons next opponent Juan " The hispanic causing panic" Lazcano. For myself I fancy Ciaran "The killa from Clonsilla" Skerry.

To be honest wit ya Rob that gave me a right chuckle.
And your slogan can be on your hats and t shirt,
'IS IT A ROCKET, IS IT A CAR , NO ITS THE VAN'.

Good thread, When I was sparring Rob I was christened with my fight name Mick (Mucus) Rochford cause Rob said I kept spitting at him. I am a firm believer that if you can blind your opponent then he cant see you. Being the size of a baby hippo you could also call me Mick (The hippo) Rochford, alternatively Keith quinn might call me Mick (onions and Sauce) Rochford.

Apollo creed stole my names, Count of Monti Fisto, Master of disaster and the King of Sting. Unfortunately I could not do any of those names justice.
However my school nickname was Twilight. So maybe I could be Phillip Twilight Twyford because when I hit you you will travel back in time.
;D

It would have to be Oblivion. Because I like to obliviate my opponents.
