Right back to what this thread is about. We can start a football thread later :-) This is one of my fav fight scenes from a classic flick. Its called "They Live".. it even has "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in it! youtube.com/watch?v=wqKFadyJxwgIf anyone has seen the Jimmy/Timmy fight from South Park? They did a hilarious spoof of this. Oh and apologies there is some bad language in there so careful! Heh, I was going to post that one today, it's my favourite! So bad it's great! I'd forgotten about the South Park parody, I had to explain to some of my friends what the scene was based on at the time.

Mike: That is one pushy salesman. He was'nt a salesman Colm! He was a homeless grifter trying to save the world. Cut the guy some slack! Has anyone seen "Dynamite Warrior" yet? Im wondering if its worth watching. I hear its along the lines of Ong Bak and Warrior King *mike can hear Derek ripping every video store in dublin apart as we speak ;D

Hey - I was lucky enough to be invited to a private screening for a new MMA movie, 'Never Back Down' - It's like Karate Kid meets fight club - not really my cup of tea but I thought it would be a lot worse and I did enjoy bits of it. I bet loads of you will like it.......Mike, Colm etc. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmDzyS6LRto

There is a few of these coming out over the next while. There is another one called RedBelt out soon. Was'nt Ian Freeman involved in an english underground cage fighting film ?
Oh yeah, Was it me or did someone throw a jumping spinning roundhouse kick toward the end of that clip? Id love to see Tim Sylvia try that one!

Never Back down looks a laugh. All flashy moves, Bright lights and everyone is good looking and cool. The thing I dont get about that other one Redbelt... although its probably more realistic is that it looks boring. No offense intended toward that style. Its a different kettle of bananas when your competing in it but watching it is like golf. Out of a 2min highlight reel the best they can show is is a bit of a scuffle on the ground with a guy in a half choke that walks up a wall ...! I cant see that one doing really well. Apart from maybe the hardcore mma and jiu jitsu fans. Whereas Never back down looks like it could appeal to a broader audience. Anyway just a thought and I will more than likely be proven wrong

Never back down is getting bad reviews on Sherdog, they seem to think it is dragging MMA back into the days of "Human Cockfighting". For a lot of people this movie will be their first impression of MMA. I dont know, I have"nt seen the film, but i think it will be mostly fight fans who will want to see it anyway. they should be able to see it for what it is, just a movie and a bit of a laugh

ok, spot the geek here, one of my faves is the bar fight scene from Serenity. seeing a meek classically trained dancer take down a full bar of 'tough guys' is pretty cool ;D

I almost forgot about Braveheart. Someone takes an arrow to the butt.
