I've been loving the daily updates from Albuquerque Rob, will miss them. It'll be back to the news with my morning coffee next week!
Best of "luck" and continued success in the run up to your fight.

DAY 16: Kickboxing sparring. This was a catch 22 situation. It was officially 1 week and 2 days before I fight so I had to make sure I didn't get injured. At the same time I wanted to finish strong and get good training it. Well, I managed to achieve both. After our warm up drill I got in 4 good rounds. I actually sparred with Keith Jardine twice. Because of my striking style, he wants me to come back here to help him get ready for his proposed upcoming fight with Strikeforce fighter Cung Le! More padwork with coach Mike. In the evening I simply got cardio work done but it wasn't simple One more day of training to go. Thank you to everyone for all the support. I might make it sound easy but it's not. I'd be lying if I told you that the thought of 'why didn't I just stay at home' didn't cross my mind. I don't like being away from home and keep in mind that I came here only 2 weeks after my honeymoon. Saying all that, the training has been great and I've done really well (even if I say so myself ). I feel great and I'm looking forward to my last week of preparation at home before the fight. Thanks again guys.

DAY 17: Wrestling practice with coach Latrelle (he's also a cop). It was tough drills and takedowns right from the start. The wrestling level here is high because a lot of them did it in school. Also, between coaches Izzy and Latrelle, they have some great training. After that I had my last session on the pads and coach Mike Valle blasted me out of it with fast and non-stop punching and kicking combinations. One of his top students is fighting at BAMMA also - Goyo is his name. The evening consisted of strength and conditioning work which was tough in itself. This session would have been hard enough had I not done the rough stuff in the morning. So there you have it. I'm done and dusted. I now just have to survive the long overnight journey home. 2 flights. I hope I get the aisle seat! Delighted to have completed it all and delighted to be coming home. See you at the Tom 'Kong' Watson seminar - you better be there. I had to do this journey to train with people like him and all you have to do is show up at your club Have a good Saturday and talk to you Sunday.
