I think I have a fight confirmed for the next Strike & Submit show on February 28th 2010. My first official training session of 2010 starts today at 2pm and while I'm looking forward to it, I'm also dreading it because I know what's ahead of me! I'll keep you all posted when I get further news.

It's confirmed that I'm to fight Chris Scott - he's the former Total Combat semi-pro Champion (light-heavyweight) and he's 1 - 1 as a pro. He's got a very good rep as a ju-jitsu guy. So, it's full steam into training and eating right - not easy when the weather is so bad! Kiefer and Michael might have something to announce soon!

Thanks to all my peeps ha ha I'm now into my 3rd week of hard training. A few niggly aches and pains but everything is going well. My training has been hard so far - probably harder than ever. Everything has been going well and I can feel the improvement and my evolution as a fighter. I'm very hungry to keep getting better and this is what motivates me. I've again been given the opportunity to head over to Canada to train for a week in February and I'm jumping at the offer. There are a lot of top guys there at the moment training for upcoming fights. I will of course be heading over to train with The Machine too. The Machine was supposed to fight this year but has decided against it due to the very recent death of his father in-law. Michael and Kiefer are training well too and my thoughts are on them all the time because we are all training up together. That's all for now. As always, thanks for all the support.

yeah right Deco - you are showing everyone how it's done.
oh yeah, if anyone wants to come to the fight, you're more than welcome - do check the flights first because I think Ryanair has reduced the number of flights. Cage side tables are 40 pounds per seat and I'm about to order 4 of them so let me know if you want a ticket too - they sell out very fast. The only thing is, if you do ask me to get one for you, you can't sting me for it as I still have to pay them if you don't go (every event is sold out). I have to pay them at the weigh-ins before the event so please give me the sterling before then. Let me know.

Into my fourth week of hard training now. Lost plenty of weight so far and only 15 pounds to go ha ha! I won't bother losing the last 12 pounds until as close to the weigh in as possible. As I already wrote, I'm off to Canada for a week of training next week and when I get back I'm straight away off to the Uk for a week of training with The Machine. To anyone that envies me: Don't bother because it's going to be rough and I'm more nervous about the training than the fight! It's all go at the moment. Is it just me or is it very hard to get ahead of ourselves this year? It feels like I'm juggling everything and trying to catch up as I'm behind at work. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat - the weather at the start of the year didn't help any of us.
Fair play to both Kiefer and Michael who are training very hard. They are doing really well and I can see them getting better all the time. It's definitely not easy training and working and dieting and staying motivated.
That's all for the mo. I will try to keep a blog about my training in Canada and the UK even if just Kiefer and Michael read it!
